80s R&B and soul legends Shalamar have been announced as the Sunday headliners of Jack Up The 80s 2018.
Known around the world for hits like A Night to Remember, I Can Make You Feel Good, Make That Move and many more, Shalamar were instrumental in shaping the flamboyant 1980s fashion scene seen in popular dance culture.
Organisers said: “Shalamar are one of the most successful Soul groups of all time selling 25 million albums worldwide. They are guaranteed to deliver a dynamic blend of funky feel good music. It’s the band’s first Isle of Wight festival performance and the perfect crescendo to the biggest party of the Summer!”
Also recently confirmed to be performing at the event is Spandau Ballet legend Martin Kemp, who will be performing a special hour-long 80s set.
They join the previously announced Leo Sayer, T’Pau, Toyah, 5ive, Chesney Hawkes, Shakatak and Jaki Graham for what is set to be another unforgettable weekend of nostalgia fun.
Jack Up The 80s 2018 will take place at Smallbrook Stadium, Ryde, from Friday 10th August to Sunday 12th August. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here.
