As tickets go on general sale today, organisers of the Isle of Wight Festival have announced the first wave of acts set to play their 50th anniversary event, including all the headliners.
Leading the announcement is electronic music pioneers Depeche Mode, who will headline the Saturday night ahead of Oasis legend Liam Gallagher.
Friday night will be topped by indie legends Kasabian for the third appearance at the festival. They will be joined on the Friday night by The Script.
On Sunday, it will be the turn of The Killers, following their triumphant performance in 2013.
Blossoms, James Bay (both Saturday) and Van Morrison (Sunday) complete today’s announcement.
Festival organiser John Giddings said:
“This year’s line-up brings together the best bands of the moment. This is a special year as it celebrates 50 years since the festival’s first incarnation so it’s fantastic to celebrate with returning artists and those appearing for the first time.”
