Who WON’T be Playing at the Isle of Wight Festival 2017

With the recent announcement of Arcade Fire headlining the Saturday night at the Isle of Wight Festival 2017, we thought we’d try and work out who the other headliners could be, but to do so, we thought we’d take a look at who it WON’T be.

Festival organiser John Giddings has already ruled out a number of potential acts, so here they are:

Phil Collins– Ex-Genesis drummer Phil Collins was hotly tipped for an appearance at next year’s Isle of Wight Festival, but a UK and European exclusive performance at BST Hyde Park means this won’t be happening.

Robbie Williams/ Take That– Neither Robbie or his old band will be playing at the festival next year after John Giddings ruled them out in one simple post, “OK, just to make it clear, Phil Collins/Robbie Williams/Take That will NOT be playing at the Isle of Wight 2017…thanks!”

Coldplay– Ruled out by John Giddings on a post in the IW Festival Forum Facebook page.

Guns ‘N’ Roses– Ruled out with John Giddings saying, “They don’t do festivals”.

And the rest who have been ruled out… Foo Fighters, Depeche Mode, Kings Of LeonGreen Day, The Kinks, Beyoncé and Rihanna.

So who does that leave? Make sure you get in touch with us and tell us who you think could be headlining the Isle of Wight Festival 2017!

  1. These are all touring the UK around that time:
    Simple minds
    Elton John
    Iron maiden
    Beach boys
    Jools holland
    Ariana grande
    Eric Clapton
    Bowie experience
    Shawn Mendez
    Stone roses
    Rick astley
    Van Helen

    • perhaps… BST Hyde Park are announcing a headliner tomorrow and I think it will be her, so we’ll have to see if it’s an exclusive performance

  2. Well it’s not Adele for BST , although she’s announced 2 nights at Wembley stadium so could still be a possibility

Howevers Kings Of Leon have been announced for BST as an exclusive so that rules them out

    • Literally just made a tweet about and read this! To be honest, they couldn’t really have KOL for again anyway.
