Rumour: Radiohead to Headline the Isle of Wight Festival 2016?

*UPDATE* A tweet from festival organiser John Giddings has confirmed that Radiohead will not be playing at the Isle of Wight Festival this year.

Legendary rock band Radiohead have just announced details of a 2016 summer tour, which had led to rumours suggesting that they could be taking the final headline spot at the Isle of Wight Festival in June.

Radiohead have announced the following dates:

  • Amsterdam, Heineken Music Hall (May 20-21)
  • Paris, Le Zenith (May 23-24)
  • London, Roundhouse (May 26-28)
  • New York, Madison Square Garden (July 26-27)
  • Los Angeles, Shrine Auditorium (August 4, 8)
  • Mexico City, Palacio De Los Deportes (October 3-4)

The eagle-eyed among you would have noticed that none of the above dates clash with the Saturday of the Isle of Wight Festival, so could we be seeing them at Seaclose Park for the very first time?

Last week, festival organiser John Giddings ruled out the possibility of Mumford & Sons headlining the festival. Read more on this story here:
